Has anyone here listened to 'Bona Drag' lately?.

> Bona Drag is the album that showcases Steven's remarkable voice.
> If anyone ever had any doubt about His Master's Voice than this
> is the album I would force them to listen to if I had to. His
> voice is so clear and strong, it really shows what a brilliant
> vocalist Our Moz is, especially with a little help from Street.

> The standout songs for me are as follows:

> Will Never Marry; Such A Little Thing Makes Such A Big
> Difference;
> Ouja Ouja Board; Everyday...; He Knows I'd Like To See Him; the
> totally mindblowing and superb 'Yes I Am Blind'; Lucky Lisp
> (excellent lyrics by the way), and the totally exquisite
> Suedehead; and the truly gorgeous 'He Knows I'd Love To See Him' sapposedly about Marr.

> I don't know what happened between Moz and Street (seemingly yet
> another row about the folding stuff). No producer has showcased
> and understood Morrissey as an artist than Street. If Johnny
> Marr was Moz's first muse than Street has to be second no doubt

> Kill Uncle would have been absolute knock out if street had been
> on board. Why can't Mozzer forgive and forget and just move on;
> he's so petulant and unforgiving. He also made rather ungallant
> flippant remarks about his fallen idol Sandie Shaw about two
> years ago which I found totally surprising. How could someone
> who is sapposed to be gentle and discreet make such vicious

> bone in his body? Emmmmmh on second thoughts don't answer that
> question, I know what some smart alec is going to say to that!

> Steven grow up! Hairdresser On Fire is absolute rubbish, and a

What did Morrissey say about Sandie Shaw, hmmmm?

What rude things *did* Morrissey say about Sandie Shaw?

> Has anyone here listened to 'Bona Drag' lately?.

Considering that street was the mastermind behind Viva Hate, the best solo work morrissey ever did , the smart thing would be for him to forgive street(for whatever small thing he did)and have him produce his next album.

he said she was cold

> What rude things *did* Morrissey say about Sandie Shaw?

he said she can't feel anything. that's not rude, just an observation. he recalled a story where she said she wanted to be famous so she could have boyfriends, but it didn't work. or something like that.

hear, hear!!

i agree wholeheartedly!

He said she was 'cold ' and didn't have any feelings whatsoever in the Manchester Evening News, and in an interview on television about females singers from the 60's, he said she was either neurotic or highly strung (I can't remember), but the remark was libelous and could have landed him in court yet again with another painful litigation. She was gracious and dignified enough not to retaliate.

He made a rather barbed sideswipe at David Bowie, saying that David doesn't cross the road without consulting his mother. Again, the object of this bitchiness never made a retort.

Grow up Steven, you're 41 in May!

It's interesting that he seems to have fallen out with almost *everyone* he's ever worked with!

Re: hear, hear!!

finally, someone agrees! does anyone know what the hell happened between those two?

Photo Of Stephen Street?

Does anyone have one around? I'm not sure if I've ever seen one...

That is him doing the organ solo in the "International Playboys" video, right? (you only catch a sideways glimpse, though...)

Re: What did Morrissey say about Sandie Shaw, hmmmm?

And its also interesting that the same man who has always been so close to his mother should scorn filial affection and dependence in others. Yet another case of the pot calling the kettle black...

I'm sure that was a misquote about Bowie and his mother - because Bowie has famously never been at all close to his mother. Didn't he actually say that Bowie was now a business and say something along the lines about him not being able to cross the road without consulting his *marketing people* or something like that? That's how I recall it.
Now Moz is in LA - doesn't he miss his mum a lot? How can he cope? Who washes his clothes?

Sandie Shaw, where is she now, hmmmm?

> What rude things *did* Morrissey say about Sandie Shaw?
If I had anything to do with it I'd have said (to her - Sandie)...
"Oi! Sadknee, you go out without any shoes & it'll be the death of you". So what's my point? Where is she now?
