Not right in the head

Guest
We had the silly invasion of trick or treat, from those folk across the pond.

We now suffer the indignity of old ladies and gents having their windows pelted with eggs and flour.

Cars pelted with eggs, that eat into the paintwork and all the joys of seeing backward individuals dressing up in bin bags.

Thank you America,

What a culture.

Actually Einstein Halloween is gaelic.

No, Einstein "Trick or Treat" is neitbher Gaelic nor Einstinian.

If I cared to seek the true meaning, I'm fairly sure it would have druid connections.

As I couldn't care less, I just pondered as to why it is such a big celebratory festival.

In my opinion, it's a load of nonsense and in this country was always thought so until recently.

That is the reason for me questioning the American influence once more.

We really have enough thickards without celebrating them on all saints eve.

kids are influenced by "what is important"

Kids are minds that have yet to be influenced by what we influence them with.

If "kids" had never seen nor heard about throwing eggs at elderly neighbours, all in the name of "satan" they would not have gone there.

My point is, give me a child until the age of 7 and I'll give you the man.

(Or words to that effect.)

Anyway devs, rambling on, maybe you'll get the jist.

Off to sleep now.

yes I get it, I see the positive in things, kids like to dress up and go trick or treating. You focus on the negative- a few idiots causing problems.

I had a great night!

Well good for you!

I celebrated another shite one!

Nothing changes.

And now I have sleep to look forward to and then better still, waking to another day of bliss.

You can't blame America for that!
Yobs are and always will be yobs. Give them camera phones they "happy slap", give them fireworks they blow up phone boxes or attach them to little dogs and film it on their phones.
English people in general are losing their identity and taking on other nations- St. patricks day for example , i'm Irish but you celebrate more than us (and what happened to St. Georges day????). Mothers day, Fathers day, trick or treat all show our eager acceptance of American culture.
The american don't have a Bonfire night - and thank god its popularity isn't waning here as its my favourite!

All it does is encourage children to ask people for things. Further more it motivates them to ak for things, with the threat of a trick if you do not surrender your sweeties. No wonder kids are turning into little devils in everyday life
