Hello all,
I'm traveling to Manchester very soon and I'm wondering if any of you may know how to find Mike Joyce. I have several Smiths records signed by Moz, Johnny, and Andy - I need Mike to complete the puzzles. He rarely (if ever) comes stateside. I know he hosts a radio show over there. Do any of you know where it broadcasts from? Anyone know where he hangs out at? Pubs? Neighborhoods? I realize this is a long shot, but it never hurts to ask, right????
Hi Tammy Waynette,
Last I heard Mike Joyce was living in Bowdon which is a village near Altrincham in Greater Manchester see link:

As others have stated Mike Joyce is on Twitter. I think Mike Joyce also has a fan page on Facebook. For more info this is Mike Joyce's official website see link:

As others have stated Mike Joyce is into football which is what Americans call "soccer" and he supports Manchester City Football Club.
He is a vegetarian and I think he used to or maybe still does grow veggies, fruit, herbs and berries that sort of thing on an allotment. I don't know if the produce is organic or not.
I don't know about local pubs, shops, restaurants and stuff. I don't even know if he is still living in Bowdon. A few celebs seem to live around Bowdon.
Mike Joyce was a DJ on East Village Radio (EVR) which is based in New York in America. I don't know if he is still a DJ with them. I don't know if he travelled to New York to the shows there or somehow managed to do them remotely from Manchester. This is East Village Radio's Wikipedia page:

I think Mike Joyce has made some occasional appearances on the radio station BBC 6 Music and some other radio stations mainly on independent internet radio.
Mike Joyce had a monthly DJ residency on the first Thursday of every month at 'The Drawing Room' in West Didsbury, Manchester. I don't know if he still does DJ nights there. 'The Drawing Room' still seems to be going this is their Twitter account:

Mike Joyce was brought up Roman Catholic. However, I don't know if he is still a Christian and is connected to a local church and the community and social life you get around a church.
I heard Mike Joyce has gone into semi-retirement as a drummer so he no longer drums in bands on a regular basis.
That is about all I know. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!
I heard that Mike Joyce is pleased to see fans of The Smiths and he is respectful towards them. I don't know him personally though. I hope you get to meet him!
By the way what do you mean when you say you need "Mike Joyce to complete the puzzles"?
It's summertime here in Britain at the moment. This is the time of year when us Brits are holidaying abroad or are having 'staycations' here in Britain.
There are lots of events going on at this time of year in Britain so it is a good time to come over and visit! I don't live in up North in Manchester though I live down South. I'm a Southerner.
Maybe you could go for a day trip to Blackpool which is a popular seaside resort near Manchester or go somewhere else quieter along the coast near Manchester this would be a nice thing to do in the hot weather.
Or maybe make a trip to the popular Lake District. Cities like Liverpool, Leeds and Sheffield are not far away. Counties like Cheshire and Derbyshire (Peak District) are worth a visit and are near Manchester.
