Long live los angeles, long live indie 103, long live morrissey

the show is great, i totally flashbacked when that bit of the interview with richard blade was played today. i was in high school and i feigned illness to go home and listen to it live and record it on a cassette tape! :D

Thanks so much for listening guys/gals!
Jose and I didn't see any live thread about the show on the forums when we checked while playing some tunes but next time I know to search "103.1!"

Glad to bring back some nice memories. I was in high school (a convent!) listening madly to my walkman (hidden in my sweater) during art or religion class, then running to the payphone at the back of the school once the lunch hour hit to call in my "hello" to Moz. Yes, memories... Wasn't the homage to Richard Blade nice? Though in the States, we must also credit dj Rodney Bingenheimer for bringing "How Soon Is Now?" to our shores. The KROQ radio announcement was an "OOPS!" on my part. Thank God it's internet radio!

It was magical to be at the studio. I miss Steve Jones so greatly in my life every day now :tears:

Thanks so much for the nice compliment, Je Suis Julie. A friend later said that my mic seemed too low. I'll be possibly on again in 2 weeks, so hope you can tune it! And I will soundcheck next time!

Cheers!

I think it would be a good idea to have a look-in here while the programme is on, because it's not always easy to call in from non-US countries, so requests could be posted on a thread here (or maybe a specialist facebook group?). I have been listening every week, and it's a damn good programme.

Chhers,

Peter

Thanks so much for being a faithful listener, Peter. So glad you're enjoying it! :D

Those are great suggestions. I'll bring it up to Jose.
Isn't it great to have at least a couple of hours 'owned' by Moz on the 'net-waves' now?

Is there a song you want to hear?

Cheers,
romeogirl

Yes, it's the best way to start the week!
I requested Shame is the Name and Lighten Up, Morrissey via MySpace and Jose replied already - he really does read those requests!

And I agree with Peter's suggestions - I wonder if a thread like this on the homepage would generate more listeners, or a homepage graphic reminding everyone to tune in....

I especially loved the concert reviews last week - it's so much fun to hear other fans who are overflowing with excitement. And I love that it is purely fan based...the possibilities are endless :guitar::guitar:

loving this. i miss being able to go to sweet and tender hooligan shows too. back in my l.a. days...

I'm listening now.
Niiiiice.
Just woke up depressed, but this is making me feel better :p

(would love to hear "driving your girlfriend home")

Thanks for listening, guys & gals. I had a blast in Philly last week so wasn't in studio.

I've written your requests down, so I'll bring them to Jose this Sunday.

Cheers! :thumb:

Is Jose's show on today? I have it streaming now expecting to hear it, but I'm all confused by the time changes that have been going on...

Peter

**EDIT** ah, there he is, just started. Taking requests? By Facebook? Here?

Not sure if Jose and Co. are checking this thread for requests, but I'd love to hear NFD from Beethoven is Deaf right about now. Thanks!

Well, if they are (hope it's not pre-recorded), I'd like to hear Tony The Pony, Teenage Dad On His Estate (from Moz), and The Draize Train or Unhappy Birthday from The Smiths.

Peter

Jose, I wish your setlists for the SATHs were this great.
