You can listen to Glastonbury live on the BBC website in HD Sound instead of the usual 128kbps.

HD Sound uses improved encoding and higher bit rates to offer the BBC's highest audio quality broadcast to date. It also offers a wider dynamic range, accentuating the difference in volume between quiet and loud sounds.

I see that Morrissey was asked to play Glastonbury after Kanye West turned them down.

Michael Eavis said:-

“He wasn't bothered last time we'd asked him but he was very keen this year.

"It was a last-minute thing and tickets had already been sold before anyone knew anything about him so it was a nice little extra for us. I just hope he enjoys it as you never expect him to be wildly happy, do you?"

With regards to the BBC and HD. They often broadcast programmes in HD at a later date (or even just a later time). It's worth keeping an eye out.

Heard about Radiohead going on at the same time. That kinda blows.

As much as we all don't like to admit it, Moz is soon to retire, so maybe thats why he took this spot. I can't wait for this spot on telly. :D

Radiohead on at 8pm too, secret gig.

Poor Morrissey, Johnny Greenwood or Jesse Tobias? Hmmmmm. Theres going to be noone there

Yeah, but:

Thom Yorke or Morrissey? A rhetorical question, of course. :D

its on the red button later.would imagine be at least fifteen minutes after he comes off stage.

Wow, that is really not good news for Morrissey (regarding Radiohead). I would expect the man to possibly be peeved??? I mean, I am a diehard Moz fan and even I would be inclined to bolt for Radiohead (go ahead, flame away). Yikes!
