I dont get the no smiths songs rule cos he always throws say 5 in there, so im gonna BREAK ALL THE RULES and add 5 smiths songs into my 22 to make it more realistic. Now, when you say your nearest Morrissey gig, had he not been a complete tease with a fake tour announcement of Australia (yeah, im calling it now, he's not coming) my nearest gig will probably be ... uh ... L.A?

1. The Queen is Dead
2. Something is Squeezing my Skull
3. Good looking man about town
4. Last of the famous international playboys
5. Sweet and tender hooligan
6. It's not your birthday anymore
7. When last I spoke to carol
8. Well I wonder
9. Seasick, Yet still docked
10. Lucky Lisp
11. Pashernate Love
12. Sing your life
13. The Loop
14. Sorry Doesn't Help Us
15. Jack the Ripper
16. Come Back to Camden
17. Mama lay softly on the riverbed
18. Miserable Lie
19. Honey you know where to find me
20. My Dearest love
21. I'm OK by myself

Oh dear! A kindred spirit from the other side of the world. Just like Krzysztof Kieslowskis "The Double Life of Veronigue"!

Personaly I would have skipped "mama", but I forgive you.

Good job!

Re: hmmm, another one

As you can see I'm fairly new here, so it's less a case of stole...more great minds etc. ;)

I shall happily accept that :)

Love PTxx.

Suedehead (Acoustic like 1991)

Link please?

B-side to We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful or you can check check on youtube for the Live In Dallas Version

I cannot visit youtube from work so I cannot provide a link.

1. The Queen is Dead
5. Sweet and tender hooligan
8. Well I wonder
18. Miserable Lie
22. I know it's over

Very good choices.

I would swap out Reel Around the Fountain for Miserable Lie.

Your setlist as a whole shows the desire to hear a lot of songs that have been played but not in Australia.

I hope you guys get your tour!

Sister/Mute Witness/November/Suedehead/Ouiji Board/I dont mind if you forget me/Luck lisp/The loop/Billy Budd/EDILS/Satan rejected my soul/Nobody Loves us/Let me kiss you/Now my heart is full/ We hate it when our friends/Glamourous Glue/IBEH/All you need is me/Will never marry/Our Frank/Jack the ripper/Speedway

Personally if he threw in Speedway which I think is long overdue a comeback, mute witness and Satan rejected my soul into this years set I wouldnt care what else he played.

Hmm this was surprisingly tough. 1. Let the Right One Slip In. 2. Black Cloud. 3. I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris. 4. First of the Gang to Die. 5. Death of a Disco Dancer. 6. When I Last Spoke to Carol. 7. I will See You in Far off Places. 8. Something is Squeezing my Skull. 9. National Front Disco. 10. You were Good in your Time. 11. Ask. 12. Sorry Doesnt Help. 13. Mama lay Softly on the Riverbed. 14 Life is a Pigsty. 15. It's not your Birthday Anymore. 16. Satan Rejected my Soul. 17. I Know it's Over. 18. Suedehead. 19. Stop Me 20. I'm Ok by Myself. 21. A Rush and a Push and the Land is Ours. 22. The Last of the Famous International Playboys.

This is a boring response, but I'm most interested in hearing stuff that I haven't experienced live before. I expect and will surely enjoy a plethora of Years of Refusal songs (twelve would not be too many). I would love to hear any recent b-sides (e.g., "Christian Dior," "My Dearest Love," "The Public Image") and songs on albums from which he has shied away recently (e.g., Maladjusted, Southpaw Grammar, Kill Uncle). I have never been lucky enough to hear "Speedway," "Why Don't You Find Out for Yourself," or "We'll Let You Know" in-person either. Any of those would be a special treat. "I Know it's Over" is the Smith's song I would most like to hear.

Morrissey is such a fantastic performer that the set list is almost inconsequential to me. He could do 70 minutes of Coldplay or Dave Matthews songs and I would probably still enjoy it.

As hopefully this will be my first Morrissey concert, it was incredibly difficult to choose a set list, I want to hear so much. I haven't included any Smiths songs and missed out a couple from YOR because I have not heard them yet.

1.Something is squeezing my skull

2. That's how people grow up

3. I'm throwing my arms around Paris

4. You have killed me

5. Lucky Lisp

6. Picadilly Palare

7. Black Cloud

8. When last I spoke to Carol

9. It's not your birthday

10. I'm ok by myself

11. Come back to Camden

12. Alsation Cousin

13.National Front Disco

14. Children in pieces

15. Now my heart is full

16. The loop

17. Why don't you find out for yourself

18. Sing your life

19. I don't mind if you forget me

20. One day goodbye will be farewell

21. All you need is me

22. First of the gang to die

I'm going to bend the rules too. Five Smiths tunes, and no Years of Refusal songs. This is just a dream set-list of old live faves, songs he hasn't played live for years but are great, and the never played symphonies.

In this very specific order -

Piccadilly Palare
Best Friend on the Payroll
Girl Afraid
My Life is a Succession of People Saying Goodbye
Boxers
National Front Disco
Lost
Billy Budd
Speedway
I Won't Share You (maybe just himself and Boz on an acoustic 12 string)
Whatever Happens, I Love You
A Swallow on my Neck

Nowhere Fast
Now My Heart is Full
Driving Your Girlfriend Home
Interesting Drug
Barbarism Begins at Home
Sing Your Life

Re: Dream setlist

My dream setlist would have too many caveats (including time-travel and age-reversal for Moz AND me), so this is my ideal Tour of Refusal Setlist.

Something is Squeezing my Skull
That's How People Grow Up
Disappointed
How Soon is Now?

Sister, I'm a Poet
National Front Disco

One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell

Had to put in "Nobody Loves Us;" haven't heard it live in many moons. . .over 10 years now, I think. Otherwise, I wanted a list that didn't seem outside the realm of possibility.
