Pigsty Gay Porn Thread

As a reader and writer of m/m smut and the occasional viewer of gay porn, I find the written word to be far more erotic than photos or films of men having sex. The pictures I can conjour in my head when I read are so much better than anything I've seen in a porno. Most of the other writers (with whom I have watched and discussed gay porn) seem to have come to the same conclusion. Where's the passion, the urgency and the "grrrr!" that make a good smutfic hot? Maybe it's a girl thing, but I'll stick with the slash sites, thanks.

I absolutely agree.

I was in the smut/fetish business myself for many years, and I far prefer m/m naughtiness to any other kind.

The written word really does carry the heaviest erotic charge for me. On the page it's an art form, on the screen it loses some of it's magic (although a decently produced costume m/m smutfest has it's undeniable charms).

Paging M. Genet.

"How the West was Hung" features some nice combination underwear.

May I pose a devil's advocate question?

In m/m porn, written or otherwise, do the guys' poke-pistons come in any particular sizes? Does it matter?

For a few years I went through a "maybe I'm a lezbo" phase because I hated the situation I was in and sought escape through the opposite scenario. I even went to a gay bar by myself a few times but never really wanted to touch another woman because it never felt right. So I started exploring gayness through cartoons and got addicted to Alison Bechdel's Dykes to Watch Out For and later discovered gay comic Howard Cruse, I read his graphic novel called Stuck Rubber Baby which dealt with a lot of issues regarding equality and segregation in the 50's in America in addition to queerness. Anyway, my point is that I found an outlet for my gay curiosity in homo-erotic cartoons. THey seemed to do more for me than the real thing because the real thing just never felt like the right thing. :o

It's a sweeping generalisation, but I have noticed that male writers are more likely than women to describe penises by actual measurement. Sometimes to the exact half-centimetre.

Then of course there's Tom of Finland who isn't always as subtle as this. It was so exciting exploring gay sex through cartoons. I had the liberty of working at a bookstore and ordering books just to browse through. Most of my knowledge of the mechanics of gay porn was acquired in the breakroom of a Barnes & Noble. But I'll never forget sitting at that bar looking at the women and thinking "If only they were men." :o

Ugh. Confusing times. I'm still confused by it all, but it was super fresh confusion in my early 20's.

I'm more of a soft-core girl myself. A friend of mine produces theatricals where dewey-eyed pretty boys in frock coats and riding boots spout poetry and... other things.

Why yes, yes they do, and yes it does.

^^

It all depends.

Like I said, I enjoy a bit of artsy-fartsy narrative, so they do try to work size in in a clever way, with a lot of hanky-waving and arched eyebrows.

When it comes to the pizza delivery boy, not so much.

You might not like "100 Torture Orgasms" then. (Never watch a film just because your friends dare you to. :squiffy:)

Pizza delivery boy... now there's an idea. I did have a strapping young man in here working on my kitchen sink yesterday. Too bad I wasn't thinking on my feet. Or my back... ;)

I had so many laughs with friends over the years by "your brains are in your bollocks" or "your brains are in your clitoris" and I can see that it still stands today

First of all, you have no idea who you are talking about.

And secondly, are you above sex? You don't like it? Weird, man.
