Is the whole of the BBC corrupt or just the playlist panel? Goodness knows how those fools can sleep at night. And not just because Morrissey is on the Radio 2 list.

I really don't see how they can justify playlisting Richard Ashcroft and not Morrissey.

I sense a bit of payola. Is it because Sanctuary can't afford the bribes?

It's all about "branding". Radio 1 have a target demographic of 16-24 year olds. Morrissey does not fit into this, so they think?

I wouldn't worry too much. Radio 1's share of the audience is shrinking anyway, Radio 2 has for a long time now, been the BBC flagship station. Or is it just that it seems that way, as I get older?

So how do old timers like Ashcroft, U2 and Ian Brown fit into the demographic? they always get playlisted.

> Because they don't make old fashioned music.

I don't hear anything new coming from U2 or Ian Brown. As for Ashcroft, maybe you have to sound like Robbie Williams to be playlisted these days.
