"Sexuality" - Billy Bragg / Johnny Marr

I agree, great tune.

Didn't Johnny also do backing vocals? Would these be his first-ever vocals?

I love the lyrics:

Stop playing with yourselves
In hard currency hotels
I look like Robert De Niro
I drive a Mitsubishi Zero

I always found Braggs vocal technique grimly southern , and as for the solo vocal/electric guitar combo, it made me feel ill at times. I suppose sexuality was a tad different to his usual thang, good song but needed a different singer.

God, the 80's were shit.

Yes, you're right. What a busy chap!

I like the line "I feel a total jerk before your naked body of work"

I had an Uncle who once played, for Red Star Belgrade is the first lyric I ever remember hearing. And I was only ten at the time!
If anyone would like me to post a list of all the Bragg/Marr colaborations, I'd be more than happy to.

Plus, with "... 60 minutes of music for the price of a single album" (according to the sticker on the case), it's excellent value, too. :)

Greetings To The New Brunette
The Passion
Walk Away Renee (version) - Marr under an assumed name.
Sexuality
Cindy Of A Thousand Lives
The Boy Done Good
Shirley (electric remake of greetings to the new brunete)

Marr co wrote Sexuality & The Boy Done Good
He played all the instruments on The Boy Done Good & Shirley.
He didn't play on Bragg's Never Had No One Ever cover.
That may not be the whole list, but there's on cd on Bills that I can't finde to check
