Morrissey no longer, for me, represents everything that’s good in the world. And the T-shirts, for now, are under lock and key.

Gary Crowley interviews David McAlmont who opened for Morrissey in 1995. Morrissey mention around 33:15

McAlmont recounts story of Morrissey calling him before the song Yes (co-written with Bernard Butler) came out and asking him “is it going to be a hit? Can’t you feel it in your waters?” and then inviting him over for tea (he didn’t go).
He played on the last gig of the Boxers Tour at Drury Lane (26th Feb., '95).This is odd, because I used to be Facebook friends with McAlmont, and I had asked him what it was like opening up for Morrissey - because I had read that he had done so. McAlmont replied "Don't believe everything you read."

This is corroborated by love him or hate him: David Brett, who was in attendance in a Royal box via a management invite (Scandal & Passion, pg 222). Guests that night (reportedly) included: Blur, Pet Shop Boys, Adam Ant, P.J.Harvey & Echobelly. A couple of archived member's comments say the same thing - perhaps David is suppressing the memory

Despite the appeal of all the vegan food, I have to admit that the “Leper” part put me off a bit. So in rhis case it’s a town, apparently? Disappointing that after all Morrissey has done for Vegans that they take shots at him. From a wonderful publication named 'Plant Based News'
This Is leperfest - Belgium's All-Vegan Music Festival (& Morrissey Is Nowhere In Sight).
Their tag line is:
'ANTI-RACISM — ANTI-SEXISM — ANTI-FASCISM'
"All the food available at the festival site is vegan - not only for the punters but also backstage. At this festival, in particular, it's clear that Morrissey has nothing to do with it, however."

(I did learn something from this article: the town of Leper is what I know as Ypres).

I did chuckle a bit. It's supposed to be Ieperfest, not leperfest (that's a capital 'I', not a lower-case 'L.') Ieper is the local spelling of Ypres.
That explains a lot. Thank you! It's supposed to be Ieperfest, not leperfest (that's a capital 'I', not a lower-case 'L.') Ieper is the local spelling of Ypres.
Here's something for the strange category

How is this a thing!?
It dropped straight out of the top 40 this week, but what is that about!?
They must have sold an old copy found down the back of an old cabinet in HMV?
Head scratching commences...

I'm familiar with What Records & a lot of their stuff is mis-dated and always 'out of stock'.
