It's a boring film actually.

Originally the film was directed by Pawel Pawlikowski (Last Resort, My Summer of Love), but the producers sacked him which was a huge mistake.

I have. It's pretty good. Does a decent job steering clear of sensationalizing her life (read: her death).

Tough critic! Gwynnie was good enough, I thought. And yes, Daniel Craig is hot, even hotter for those of us who prefer Shakespeare to automatic weapons. Life before Bond was pretty good.

It's been a while since I saw the movie but it really didn't make an impact on me which is strange because I like both Plath and Hughes. It was quite dull. And this is not to say that I would have prefered the movie to be more sensationalist. It was just meh.

That's a fair criticism. I too thought it was dull here and there-- well, I mean, erm, measured in pace. I appreciated that because I didn't want some romanticized version of her life. I think they avoided the obvious pitfalls. I guess they just forgot to entertain some of us.
