The 1981 gay pride march in Huddersfield - Morrissey spotted in photos?

If you ask me, that's him, no doubt.

Yes - GEM - even gay men get more dates with girls than you do.

That Canada gig was clearly some kind of nervous breakdown - he was back to being a lapsed Catholic in March.
You reject reality so much that you date gay guys and insist morrissey is gay when he never said he was and deny he's a Christian when he said he was. This is what happens to daughters of weak socialists

Is @nickbatcave your dad?

He's cleverer than that, do you really think he could sustain a near 40 year career if he "finds life embarrassing". His interviews are cagey but in a deliberate way, trying to avoid the obvious answers to the obvious questions that have been asked a million times before and they're all the more funnier for it.

You can be clever & embarrassed & funny. It's very unnatural having a running commentary to your life from people who aren't in it - but it's kind of unavoidable with a singer.

Gay's just a shorthand - he is attracted to men, he's said so & it's in his work - but I think he lives by the words of one of his heros (which is also what my gay ex was doing). He's going where his heart leads him without making it conform.

Well I think you're right on two counts, two outa three ain't bad. To me anyway he is clever & cool & funny. I do agree he has sung his life but we're all in it in some way or other

On a side note - finally looked up Morrissey & the Russian Sailor. All Morrisseys seem to have fighting spirit. 😁

Who wants that tired old label around your neck like a millstone? Certainly not Morrissey, he's a singer songwriter and that's good enough.

Most of us dont see it as a millstone. People bang on on here constantly about divorcing the man from the art so why cant that also be the case about his sexuality? Nobody really cares who he sleeps with anymore. It isnt the 80s anymore.

That's a nice ideal but not realistic. The problem is when you add homophobes to the picture. The reason people like spaces that make them feel safe when they are young is because there is less chance some biggot is going to attack them. Most gay people dont have a problem being in shared spaces but a lot of straight people dont want gay people around. There aren't many straight places gay 18 year olds would feel comfortable going to and holding hands or kissing in front of people that will include homophobes. Two women sitting on a bus together doesn't even seem possible. He talks of a utopia that is not really practical in todays world or any foreseeable future world. Maybe everyone can co exist but only if no one has to share the visibility of same sex attraction or even the thought of same sex attraction. In recent polls most gay young people stated that they dont feel comfortable or safe holding hands in public and they dont do it for that reason. That is the reality.

I think it is an attraction to stereotypical macho figures such as boxers, soldiers, sailors with tattoos, tattoos rockabillies with tattoos.......

I think that's what he's aiming for though.

Intolerance is increasing - but I think it has a lot to do with clout chasing on social media. It's the worst form of fame out there.

You even choose an avatar with a mask @HengeBoy. You're whole life is being a power bottom. Submission is all you know and sass is all you got to keep you from hanging yourself

Actually GERM, I choose an avatar with a mask because I don’t wanna catch anything from you...

how about you hang yourself for that matter, do us all an favor.

@nickbatcave I like you and all, but are you really gonna let that unfortunate rat looking mess come for you? Don’t feed his already comical ego...

Haha - I dated a gay man once whose cats were called Carmen & Miranda - he loved how funny I was (apparently).

I don't think there's any doubt that Moz fancies men, mostly if not exclusively - it's all the way through his autobiography, his lyrics, his imagery, in interviews - but humans are complicated & it might be a case of any port in a storm or he gets the occasional crush & would rather not be the Indie Elton John, with all the media expectations & assumptions that would come with that.
Who got custody of the cats.....
