The Seeker of Good Songs

Guest
I was watching a bit of VH1 Classics last night and heard the Moody Blues' "Nights in White Satin" and Simply Red's "Holding Back the Years".

I've always liked the way those songs sounded and wondered how Morrissey would sound singing them.

Any thoughts?

I am still seeking.
I just think that "Red" song sounds nice.

no, no- the first simply red album could hold its head up with pride. it was a strong manchester soul record.
His serial shagging and subsequent records have just diluted its' appeal. Holding back the years is a great song (i've not heard it in about 10yrs though).

Can't remember where I heard it, but there was a skit on that song - Camilla Parker Bowles singing "Holding Back The Ears".

Sk.

Knights in White Satin, I think he would do well. I hate Simply Red and his song. I reckon they stink. Morrissey probably does too. If he has any taste, which I'm sure he does.
