One thing people should take into account is that Joyce is not acting alone. He has legal representation who are presumably taking a percentage of everything he manages to get out of Morrissey. They will be ruthless in trying to maximise the revenue they get from their client and will know every legal trick in the box, whereas Morrissey has exhausted the legal options, having lost all his appeals. Joyce wouldn't have the option to stop when he thinks he has recovered "enough". Even if he did, he probably has his legal team tempting him with how much extra money they can get for him.
