I have met her and I can say with 100% certainty she is most definitely racist.
You can tell she is racist by reading her posts. The person that pointed out the "Mexican gardeners" wasn't the only one to see it. I'm not going to comb through her posts but I've noticed it before. And she isn't the blatant kind of racist where at least you know where they stand. I believe that she thinks she is telling the truth when she says she is the furthest thing from racist. She probably has a black friend! She added them to her collection. A gay, a black, this other one, that other one, and it all proves how even though she is white, it's fine with her when some other person is something else. She deserves an award for her tolerance!
I think she doesn't realize the import of her little announcement about trying to leave the site for her own good. Before that you could think that she's not really doing any harm so maybe it's better to tolerate her however unhinged, randomly nasty, and insistently delusional she might be. Now the only way to see it is that she's not doing herself or anyone else any good by being here, and tolerating her is not only unnecessary but harmful to herself and to the site. Her announcement made it clear that this site and her obsessions are not healthy for her and allowing her to post here are very much like selling drugs to a person that swears they want to quit, that drugs are ruining their life, that flushes the last bag down the toilet and then comes back the next day for more.
The people discussing the various theories about how the racist language she uses is not racist do not make a good point. Patti Smith used the word in a much different way, and even that wasn't really her finest moment and she got called out on it quite a bit. A lot of people think Patti Smith is full of shit and was bluffing her way as a poet all along. That's another subject, but the point is that just because Patti Smith thought it was a pretty smart thing to say 40 years ago isn't really relevant now. CG wasn't saying people want her to go away because she is an outsider. She was saying that she's being treated like a second class citizen. The opposite is true. She should have been banned a long time ago when the first hints of her John Hinckley / Mark David Chapman persona started to emerge. "You say Morrissey is your soulmate? And he is speaking to you through his music?" Now that's Charles Manson, in itself. But I don't remember Manson ever saying that "the shadows on Paul McCartney's nose in a particular photo look like the 6th letter of the Hebrew alphabet, and therefore..."
Therefore get the tranquilizer darts.
I'm not going to keep writing about it because even this is attention. I just hope that David Tseng will see he is doing her no favors letting her treat this forum in this way.
