For me it’s Revolver and Help! I think 65/66 is the apex, especially since with single releases you also get We Can Work It Out, Day Tripper, Paperback Writer, and my favorite Beatles song, Rain.

yeah, good songs, but I don’t get into that early Beatle/‘British invasion’ sound much. With a couple exceptions, I think Revolver as an album, they really started to widen their sonic palette. And the lyrics definitely got better, taking the cue from Dylan, I believe.
Of course the acid and weed helped too. Even indirectly it opened windows.
