How did you meet the great one?

I was in a meeting yesterday and Morrissey came up in conversation, and someone mentioned that they had spotted Morrissey at The Orient hotel (London) bar drinking Champagne. Unfortunately she never got close enough to report back what he smelt like

well if ever I see Morrissey drinking in a pub I'm going to go right up to him and say "I've been told I'm supposed to smell you" and then proceed to smell him, see if I don't. I'm not gonna be the one who says she saw, but didn't smell, Morrissey.

I adore Morrissey, but in the close to impossible probability of a casual meeting in the street I wouldn't dare to invade his personal space. And I doubt I could give him more than a quick glance. I can imagine it would be very upsetting that a totally strange woman jumps over him seeking attention. Even if it were an organized signing or something like that, I sincerely doubt I could talk to him more than a couple of words. It is what it is.

That joke isn't funny anymore........................................

Katamine Sun and Rifke , the reason why I wanted to know what Morrissey smelt like is because I am very sensory and so smells are important to me. I feel you really are being childish and spoiling what could be a great forum .

People have sealed pieces of is shirt to keep the fragrance, he indulges this! God help the person who wears his fragrance at the show, they might get mobbed.

what are you on about ?! :lbf: tip toe on eggshells around here! I'm not spoiling, being childish or ghoulish. Never said anything negative about wanting to know about his scent. On the contrary if you look above, I posted what he was wearing at the time I first met him and in turn what he smelt like. And yes, I agree about the wonders of the human proboscis ! for me it is a.... time machine to my past! :)
Apologies , sorry Ketamine Sun I just reread !
You lucky lady having more then one meeting with him. Any ideas where he will be staying in Manchester?

Totally agree, they are very juvenile. Never, ever, reveal to them anything that's dear and near to you. They will stab you for it and turn it into a joke.

Thanks for the heads up. Who is admin on here ? Surely they should be blocking the trolls. I did report one but I haven't heard anything back. Such a shame.

Your report was ignored because it wasn't worthy of action. Grow a pair, block those that you don't like, stop taking it all seriously and enjoy life. We've had this hundreds and hundreds of times. We do not ban just because someone is upset.

Hi Tiptoes. I've never met Morrissey on the streets but I've been very close to him at the front of the stage. I could smell the Incense Avignon quite well. I was also lucky enough to smell a shirt that he tossed in the audience right after a show one night. The girl who caught it was lucky and got the WHOLE shirt! But anyway, I could smell the Incense Avignon again, but it was also drenched in his sweat. I'll just say that I feel that Morrissey probably has a lovely, perhaps citrus-like, natural scent about him.

Harsh, its no wonder people on here speak with an acid tongue if you are one of the moderators. I find model behaviour works well, treat people the way you would like to be treated. Also I manage to live life to the full with a healthy clear conscience

Thank you for sharing Hand in glove
P.S : One of my favourite Smiths songs by the way.

it's true. :D (well for me-- I've never seen ketamine sun behave in any such way, and am baffled why anyone would think this of her). is it wrong that I'm a bit proud you noticed? i don't think it's juvenile though. i think getting all in a tizzy over some silly sentiment that couldn't stand up to a little less-than-withering internet mockery (only less than withering because I've been practicing restraint, not because I'm incapable) is the juvenile behaviour.

That's how it goes here sadly. They paint anything you find as unpleasant and a hindered efforts to discussion as you have some extreme crying fit like a child. It's to put others on the defensive so you'll start saying no that's not what I'm saying which devolves into a long pointless discussion about nothing. It's stifling and makes it hard to take anything seriously

spoiler alert !

' polite, bashful and smell amazing'

yes all three are true.

Many a time was I graced with his presence. But would dislike sharing such wonderful experiences here on this forum just to be shit upon by the hatebots that visit Solo(Brummie boy, Benny the butcher, etc).

good luck :)

not really really. Do you ever feel like you're in a book that started without you? in italics, like I mean it and i'm speshull speshull.
but more importantly : do you like Electronic?

Yah but I prefer New Order. It's off topic but that's ok now and again. Some posters on this site are always off topic.
