the official foxwoods play by play

Just on the whole setlist issue...I'm really surprised that he hasn't introduced any surprises really by now. If the audience are complaining about hearing the same setlist two or three nights in a row, then SURELY Morrissey must get bored playing the same songs almost every night? :blushing:

Re: Sebastian, rap video, casino horror, Navy??

I hear you about the haters....It's amazing how quickly some Moz 'fans' turn on him over the lack of ONE song, an encore! With fans like these, who needs critics?

I saw some of that rap video being filmed....let's just say lots of Campagne. Heard through the grapevine that this new artist, whatever his name is, combines the audacity of those like JayZ with the intellect and politics of Public Enemy....whatever, we'll see.

I agree about the adoption...he's all about the kids. Look out for a Moz childrens book at some point in the future!

Well well well.

Just when you thought casinos were acceptable venues for real music...they're not. Foxwoods was nuts because he went on early, yah, check all that, too bad. Maybe the casino mobsters forced hi to start early. But what about the competition of having a Navy Ballroom Dance in the same casino? None of those boys looked like the sailor in the stage backdrop with his fat cigar. No, these sailors were old and rental-tuxedoed.

I want to see Sebastian again, and love all the first-row kid banter. Prediction: M will adopt within the year, but not some 3rd world kid a la Madge and Brangie. You know that's why he cut out early last night, right? For the sake of kiddie eardrums. Yes I'm kidding ya rufflebirds.

They were also filming a rap video in the hotel. Some all-biz gal naed Julie was managing this rapper, L'il Momo or something. They roped off an entire section of the casino floor to shoot a few seconds of him dry-humping a craps table covered with ass-shaking dancers. Can you say dissonance?

Oh well, all's well that ends well. Even if the show didn't end "well," at least Moz had the grace to deliver his awkward apology. Cheers to that, and let's hope it's not his voice, and just the amp.

To you haters ("I'm not going to another show, etc, blah blah----there's plenty waiting in line to buy those tickets, so go home and cry and listen to anybody but Moz while you do. Let me suggest Carole King, or that poof Conor Oberst.

Amanda....................I feel like I know you. Were you at last night's show? I caught some of it via cell phone...maybe I'll see you at a future show.

I felt like I needed to post on several different issues. While it's wasn't the best concert musically for me, having just been to Carnegie Hall in the 5th row, Johnny Marr would have had to walk on stage at Foxwoods to make the evening more special.

1. After working my way to the front row, I stood next to a guard who wouldn't let me into the pit. When he finally ran to address a rowdy fan, I snuck in. He knew I had passed the line but didn't seem to care much. I wasn't causing trouble. Se la vie.

Then he even helped my wife find the camera that had dropped. I don't know what people are talking about re: confiscated cameras, but we were allowed to take tons of great pictures at stage side.

2. What was the deal with the grey hairs? It did seem that the entire 5 rows or so were filled with people who may have thought they stumbled into a Burt Bacarach concert. some were even carrying their tubs of quarters from the slots!!

3. I've been to many many concerts and finally, on Saturday March 28th I caught a shirt! He threw 2 out and I caught the second one. what surprised me most (probably shouldn't have surprised me) was the number of poeple who wanted to smell it.

Patchouli oil or frankensense or some other strong scent. in case you're wondering. I am preparing to "pin and mount it" along with the tickets and a few photos I took of him wearing it.

Considering that the stage was so low, and I could lay my torso out on it easily so that to run to moz I would only need to wrap a leg over and dodge arturo... I feel a little bit ashamed of myself for not at least running up on stage and hugging morrissey when it would be so very very easy and considering how desperately I tried to do it a bit more than a dozen years back. I feel incredibly old when the opportunity is so blatent and I think we are all rather lame for waiting for the encore every show now as if it is a routine to break the rules... but... well... my knees and my back... hahaha... damn... how pathetic. Still the show was great... Morrissey put on a great show and his voice was spot on and beautiful. A good show at a super weird venue... the theater itself was good but that casino seems a bit depressing to me. I don't know that its the same feel as the NYC shows so I am not even going to compare... vocally I think he was amazing and he looked very good and upbeat. Enjoyable show. Amazing how easy it was to slip up to the front row against the stage... or maybe I was just lucky. I particularly liked OK by myself this show.

Here's a few (poor) pics from the show in Connecticut...

That video shoot was hot. I was surprised how many Moz fans got in there as extras. Just think, if he did an encore, they might not have been in the video!

Cool, thanks for finding that!:guitar: I'm still not sure if he liked it. I saw him make his scrunched up quizzical Morrissey face which kinds of makes me wonder - typical Moz response!:D Congrats to you again on getting the letter to him. I am sorry that I couldn't get a photo, but I was handing him the shirt at the exact same time.:(

I have about 100 others, but until I figure out flickr, I just want to get this to the guy who handed Moz the clipboard, I took this for you. Hopefully, you read this forum.

I was on the left side of the stage, and Aturo shut off my camera ( it was on the stage) as I was filming. The guy next to me ask me if I wanted to get on the stage , but Aturo was right there. I wouldn't have got far.

I think I am going to jump up on stage and just skip the drama... instead of running at moz and getting knocked down I am just gonna run right at Arturo and bear hug him.

Great photos Sweetness!! Thanks so much for putting them up.

Good luck with the Arturo thing Suparni!!! Wish I could witness that. Maybe someone will have their camera rolling.
