[seriously flawed - not right in the head]

Talk about re-writing history.

I posted a thread with an imposter this evening who used the name Rain Man.

Should have known better because Rain Man was Rainman (no space)
Anyway we were indulging in what I thought was a little light hearted banter, and as I know Rainman (the real one) and his age, I indulged in a discussion about the skinheads in the 70's.

This other arse then starts accusing me.

I talked of going to the chippy on the way to the fairground and buying onion/mushroom gravy and chips blah de blah.

Just the normal northern working class background.

I then mention Ben Sherman shirts with the crease down the back and the Doc Martens highly polished and blah de blah

This arse then starts about skinheads bashing pakis blah blah....

For chrissake.

YES SKINHEADS DID BASH PAKIS SKINHEADS WERE RACISTS.

I just happened to experience the age and seen what went on.
Don't blame me.

Yes all skinheads were racist.

Each and everyone.

That was the main aim of the culture.

Don't shoot the messenger though.

Yes every skinhead I ever met hated anyone other than Skinheads... It was the culture.

Wrong,wrong,wrong. Early skinheads music of choice was actually Jamaican reggae and Ska.As this music was played by, and predominantly to,black people these skinheads were not in the least racist.

Sections of skinheads did lean towards the far roght and become embroiled in the NF and British movement in the mid 70's.Their musical tatstes seemed to veer towards the thrash of Oi and they were notorious football hooligans as well

Personally I have always loved the skinhead dress code still love my DM's and button down Ben Shermans(not the modern ones though which are awful).

So basically a blanket statement saying skinheads are rascist is nonsense.
