[Contango]

Here are a few ideas as to what's gone wrong:

• Overall public opinion of Morrissey is not high right now, for reasons we all know and we won't get into the validity of those now. Just take a look at any post about him, official or otherwise, on social media - 80% of the comments are negative. They range from "he's a right-wing racist" to "I'm done with him" to "he's not going to show up" to everything in between.
• The choice of venue is an odd one. Location-wise, it's a trek for locals and out-of-towners alike. It's also a venue that seems to book a lot of very eclectic world music acts, but not a lot of traditional rock/pop/indie. So, the venue may be unfamiliar to many people likely to buy a Morrissey ticket.
• Ticket prices were pretty high at first (I paid them), which may have put off those on the fence.
• 4 nights, two of which being mid-week, was probably a bit of a stretch from the get-go, at a venue this size (~3,300).

I am in the area and yes the venue is very difficult to get to and parking is a big headache, saw one show there years ago and although it's a nice theater, will probably avoid going there again

Forgive Someone is great! - from World Peace era as well.

It's a strange album World Peace, maybe should have been shorter? Take off Smiler with Knife and Kick the Bride and i think it would have played better.
Oboe Concerto is one of my all time favourite Moz tracks, a bit slight maybe but its a lovely album closer.

Sorry to be off topic, but does anyone have the guitar tabs to the ending of the song "I bury the living"? You know the part where he sings:
"Funny how the war goes on Without our John, without our John".
To me this is a really great Jessie Tobias guitar track. The chords are easy, but I can't figure out the riff. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I think this is such an excellent song. Truly tragic. The ending really hits home. Like so many of his songs you wonder about the choice of the name Johnny. Double meanings come into play and fits perfectly.
Must be so difficult to play live, the ending often fumbled, adding to the poignancy of it all.
I wondered if Jesse had borrowed the riff from somewhere. Reminds me of the play-out on Zep's Over the Hills and Far Away.

Morrissey is one of kind and there will never be another one like him. Funny how the war goes on without our John sang to an exceptional guitar track / riff by Tobias. It reminds me of I won't share You and You know very well how I got my name play by 2 other extraordinary guitarists.

Iggy told me on the radio that Florida is home to two native American tribes who rather than surrender, actually caused the US government to sue them for peace in the end, and give them land.

I liked how, at events mainly from America, Canada, and Australia a few years ago, organisers often stated at the beginning that they were based in the 'unceded' lands of such and such ancestral people.

For Florida, the ones to acknowledge are..

For anyone that likes to follow hashtags to see the latest images from gigs - do please be aware that Instagram in its infinite wisdom has removed the "recent" heading for hashtag searches - replacing it with a filter for most popular recent hashtags. This leaves small creators/fans marginalised and means no chronological, 'as it happens' feeds.
To circumvent this - using apps like Instander or using old builds of IG will allow you to carry on as per previous (for how long!?). I'm not sure if there's any iOS equivalents.

That's what also came about in the whole Robert Smith vs Ticketmaster feud, where he also fought against their nonsense-fees. He said in that instance that dynamic pricing is the artist's choice and he must know. I don't get why artists consent to that, its just a brutal rip off of fans and you can do something about it as an artist, if you care.

That's something the tour manager Donnie Knutson definitely deals with. You can resign if you're asked to do something against your principals & I can't see the band approving of it - or Morrissey wanting Jesse booted out of LA.
