Savile, paedophilia and the establishment cover-up?

In the UK we are currently in the midst of one of the biggest stories involving covered-up child abuse, perpetuated by a well-known and recently deceased television character known as Sir Jimmy Savile, who specialised in Kids TV Shows and did a lot of work for charity.

The police are investigating hundreds of allegations and some well-known (ex?) BBC faces are expected to be arrested in the upcoming days. The question on everyones' lips, prior to Wednesday, was how could the BBC and the media let him get away with it as rumours about his sexual misdemeanors were well-known in media circles and even in general pub talk. Rumours of kidnappings, gangland connections and necrophilia abound.

Things took an even sinister turn on Wednesday when Tom Watson asked a question at PMQs implicating a paedophile ring which led to a Prime Minister's aide. Internet conspiracies abound but sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction...

Savile was a regular at Thatcher's Xmas Chequers breaks, had regular access to the Royal Family including entertaining the future King of England at his Highlands House and is undoubtedly a depraved predatory child sex attacker who wad allowed to practice his horrific crimes for 40years despite dropped police enquiries. Why?

I must admit I was surprised when the rumours of Savile spread. At first I inclined to disagree, but with the amount of proof against him and the media supplying any evidence they can find it seems Savile's vile secret is up.

I also would like to know who this mysterious "third" paedo celebrity is. They are keeping it under wraps very well! Just shows how brilliant they kept Savile's secrets hidden.

Has anyone heard about the John Peel rumours? Hmm. If it's true I'll be so disappointed...

I'm sure even Elvis himself kissed underaged girls. It's as plain as black and white.

I'm sure Elvis did a lot more than kiss underage girls...but he's Elvis, so it's OK.

Paedos...it's always the ugly ones that get caught. It might sound strange but since when has a handsome celebrity suddenly named and framed a paedo? Gary Glitter, Savile.

Thanks for posting this. (Makes stuff make sense. :squiffy:) We don't get this news in the US.

Many DJs, popstars, superstars and celebrities all flings with underaged girls in the 1950s till the 1990s. It's a fact. I bet if they started arresting people, they'd have a massive list to get through!

Is this guy like America's Captain Kangaroo? Does he host a program where he teaches kids stuff and dresses up in costumes and all?

Yeah, three women on the news today who claimed he molested them had their current photos and some from the 70's. A sort of 'Then and now' thing.

Or a 'Now,then.Now,then.Now,then'.

So who else do we think is implicated?

I haven't seen the News or anything this week but I watched that documentary about Savile the other day and Freddy Starr was freeze framed which would indicate that he's suspected. There were loads of dj's years ago that were seen as untouchable 'til they were all hoofed out. DLT was always supposed to be completely loathsome but obviously that doesn't make him a nonce. Will be good to see Giltter given another term in jail whatever happens.

I don't think Freddie Starr has anything to do with it. But that's just my opinion.

It's so weird to think that video of Savile and Glitter must have felt so normal and innocent back then, but now it's looked upon as the most disturbing video ever. You basically want to scream at the girls "GET THE F*** AWAY!!! NOWWW!"

Isn't it weird how hindsight is 20/20? I mean seeing this footage, certainly there had to be some talk, even back then, that he was intrusive, right? Or are the BBC awesome at hush hush pretend everything is fine?

It is weird. It's weird 300 people have come forward now. That's assuming 300 people were instantly ignored by everyone including the police and the BBC. How corrupt!
